Frequently Asked
Common questions about Knight Ops
How the engagement works, what an intelligent business operating system is, and what it costs. Don't see your question? Email me.
What kinds of organizations do you work with?+
Organizations with a team, real revenue, and operational bottlenecks — coaching and consulting firms, agencies, professional services, education and membership businesses, and founder-led companies that have outgrown the way they run. If your delivery depends on someone remembering, your leaders cannot see margin and pipeline in one place, or growth keeps creating more complexity, we are likely a fit.
What exactly is a Knight Ops AI Business OS?+
One intelligent business operating system rather than a pile of disconnected tools. It is built in layers — foundation and business intelligence, client acquisition, onboarding and delivery, ascension, growth automation, an AI business brain and agents, team and operations, and specialized integrations. Your founders, leadership, employees, contractors, partners and clients each walk into the same system and see only what they need.
How do I start working with you?+
Three steps. First, a free 20–30 minute Tech Discovery Call — a fit conversation about how your organization operates today. If we are a fit, you are invited to a complimentary Systems Blueprint Session, two working sessions of roughly 60 minutes each with architecture work in between. Then we build.
What is the Systems Blueprint Session?+
A working session on how your organization actually operates. We map your systems, your client journey, and your data, then architect what your intelligent business operating system should become and the order it should deploy in. It is complimentary and by invitation for qualified organizations. You leave with the architecture whether or not we build it together.
How much does it cost?+
There are no packages and no tiers. The Knight Ops AI Business OS starts at $15,000. After launch, AI Business OS Continuity starts at $1,000 per month, with six months of continuity included from launch. Organizations that want embedded AI operations leadership engage a Fractional Chief AI Operations Officer starting at $7,500 per month. Scope and sequence are set in the Blueprint Session.
How long does it take, and when do I see value?+
Knight Ops deploys progressively rather than disappearing for months and returning with an empty handoff. Layer 1, Foundation and Business Intelligence, ships first so you can see your own numbers before anything else is scoped — data before decisions. Every layer after that goes live as it is finished, so you get functional value throughout the build.
What does a Fractional Chief AI Operations Officer actually do?+
Owns your AI and operations strategy instead of advising on it. That means setting the system architecture, deciding what gets built and in what order, running the deployment, holding your team accountable to the operating system, and evolving it as the business changes. It is embedded leadership, not a consulting engagement. Starting at $7,500 per month.
What happens after the system is live?+
AI Business OS Continuity. Six months are included from launch, then it starts at $1,000 per month for ongoing updates, feature requests, a quarterly feature push, and a quarterly strategy session. Systems that stop evolving stop earning — continuity is how the operating system keeps up with the organization.
Do I own the code?+
Yes. One hundred percent code ownership, always. You get the GitHub repository, all source files, deployment access, the environment manifest, and full handoff documentation. Your codebase is downloadable from your portal at any time. No vendor lock-in, ever.
A previous provider left us with something unfinished. Can you work with that?+
Often yes, and it is one of the most common situations we walk into. We audit what exists, keep what is genuinely load-bearing, and replace what is not. Sometimes the honest answer is that the existing build costs more to salvage than to rebuild — we will tell you that plainly rather than quietly billing around it.
What tech stack do you use?+
Modern, scalable, and AI-ready by default: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions), Vercel hosting, Stripe payments, Resend for email, plus AI integrations via Claude and OpenAI APIs and the Model Context Protocol.
Can you integrate with the tools we already run on?+
Yes — Stripe, Calendly, Apollo, ConvertKit, Kajabi, Notion, Airtable, Zapier, Make, Slack, Discord, OpenAI, Claude, Resend, Postmark, Supabase, Firebase, AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare, and almost any modern API. Part of the Blueprint Session is deciding what to integrate and what to retire.
How do you handle data privacy and security?+
Every system ships with Row-Level Security on the database, encrypted secrets, HTTPS everywhere, secure authentication, and audit logs. Sensitive data never lives in client-side code. For regulated industries we add HIPAA-ready logging and additional compliance layers.
Can I see examples of past work?+
Yes — every tool on knightops.biz was built by us: the AI Systems Audit, the free tools library, the admin command center, and dozens of client systems. The case studies page has more.
